Water well cost calculator for the Oklahoma City area

Pick your county to start from its median well depth, or type your own depth if a neighbor or driller has told you one. The calculator shows a drilling range from published Oklahoma per-foot rates and the modeled complete-system range for your county. It is an estimate, not a quote.

Nothing you enter here is sent anywhere until you choose to use the quote form.

Where these numbers come from

County median depths and the complete-system ranges come from the Oklahoma Well Depth and Drilling Cost Index, built from official OWRB well records and updated Aug 24, 2026. The drilling range multiplies your depth by the $25 to $55 per foot Oklahoma rate published by WellDrillingCosts.com. The 15 to 25 percent depth contingency is from the DrillerDB Oklahoma cost guide, and the calculator uses the top of that range. Every figure is on our well costs page.

Drilling-only quotes often leave out the submersible pump, pressure tank, wiring and the water line to the house. That is why the complete-system range is so much higher than the drilling line.

What the calculator cannot know

Nobody knows the exact depth to water until the rig is on your land. Wells in the same county can differ by a hundred feet or more, and rock, casing type and pump size all move the bill. Oklahoma County costs more mainly because its wells go deeper, not because drillers charge more per foot. Ask each driller for an all-in written quote that names the per-foot rate, estimated depth, casing type and what happens if the well goes deeper.

Before you budget, check the Oklahoma well rules and plan to test the water once the well is in.

Sending your estimate

The button under your result opens our quote form with the service, your town, ZIP and the range already filled in. You add your name and phone. We are an independent guide, not a driller, and we pass the request to a local licensed driller.
